Thank you for visiting the home of the SAAS Messenger 1st XI Soccer League. 

 

In 2019 we have embarked in the inaugural season of the ‘SAAS Messenger 1st XI Soccer League’. The league was established to further enhance school soccer in South Australia, by expanding on the previous successes of the Twilight Soccer League (TSL). The TSL was established in 2011 to provide high school soccer players with the opportunity to represent their schools in a competitive and enjoyable mid-week competition, whilst balancing study with other sporting and co-curricular commitments.

The competition is played on Wednesday’s with kick-off at approximately 4.15pm, with almost all the games being played on artificial grounds, around the state. The league has the endorsement of FFSA, whose support in furthering soccer is demonstrated through the provision of FFSA accredited referees and external support. The referees uphold the high standard we set ourselves within the league by providing a safe playing environment for players on match day.



As the competition name suggests, the SAAS Messenger 1st XI Soccer League is supported by The Messenger. The Messenger release pre-season previews, player interviews, and post-match reviews of the school's fixtures within their respective community areas.

The 2019 season will commence with Round 1 on Wednesday the 8th of May.

 

For up to date mobile access you can access the SAAS Messenger 1st XI Soccer League APP by searching for "Team App" in the Apple App or Google Play store and then installing to your smart phone or tablet. Once installed, launch Team App - make sure you click ok to allow push notifications - click "+" in the top right corner and search for "SAAS 1st XI Soccer League". Click "sign up to team app" and enter your personal details. After registration is complete select the appropriate group "Players & Officials" or "Referees".

 

An optional extra is to add the custom SAAS Messenger 1st XI Soccer League icon to your device, click "settings" at the top of the SAAS Messenger 1st XI Soccer League  Team App Page and select "install to home screen" then follow the instructions to add the icon.
